The Georgia Chapter held its End-of-Year Social on December 13th. Four John Scarano Memorial Scholarships were awarded; the two undergraduate winners (“Scarano Scholars”) were Sophia Fleri, a Mechanical Engineering student at Georgia Southern University, and Cassidy Share, studying Environmental Engineering at the University of Georgia. The graduate winners (“Scarano Fellows”) were Caitlin Conn, a doctoral candidate in Ecology at the University of Georgia, and Laura Mast, pursuing a doctorate in Environmental Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology.

Congratulations to our scholarship winners and to all the deserving candidates who submitted applications, making the selections a difficult endeavor for our team of judges.

The scholarship presentations were the keynote of our social gathering, held at Taco Mac at the Prado in Sandy Springs.
